I'm interested in this, but the price is getting up there. Does it grade any better than G4?

The weakness on the left side of the obverse is a striking peculiarity of this year and mint.
A full good but no higher.

My VG-8 example:

The mint mark is from the reverse B die.
The ebay example is reverse A.

I put the auction in my watch list.

Hey thanks. I would probably send it out, but then again, they can be bought already slabbed for not much more. Plus, no telling where this auction will end up. $800?

If it weren't for the fact that this is a key I'd say pass but.... its a 1913s. I'm more concerned about the sellers feedback #s. Seems like an awful low amount of sales for someone with this many rare coins don't you think. Just my opinion.

True, but the coins are authentic, at least the two I saw, and they also guaranteed as much to me in writing. A moot point though as the price has gotten out of control...over 800 already

Is 800 unreasonable if the coin is a problem-free G? Greysheet bid is $1250 in G...

800 is not unreasonable if I was sure I wanted to keep it for a while. I checked recent sales on ebay and Heritage and some nice graded ones sell for around a grand.

Forgive me edweather, but are you buying a coin just to resell it for a quick profit?
A Grand for a "No-Question" G-4 with original surfaces would be cheap.
