What is the value of Plain 1932 Quarter BU? I'd like to get one for my wife's collection.

Sorry about the title. It is a 1932 & not a 1952.

Really depends on what condition. But yeah, $20 would be good.

Well I missed a really nice one one ebay. They stated it as BU & it went for $15.50. I wasn't home & I didn't bid on it before leaving. I'll keep looking.

Quote: They stated it as BU What they state, and what it really is might be two totally different worlds. Not likely BU for $15. Maybe if you see an auction you are interested in, you could post it on the grading sub-forum. I'm sure your wife would be happy regardless, but if you want a correct coin for a correct price, there's lots of help here.

I was mostly wanting one that looked really nice. That's why I was going for the plain 1932.
She wanted to put the state set together when they first came out & I thought the 1932 would be the perfect quarter for the set. You know, start from the beginning.

Lots of guesses as to a price. However, that price is purely dependent on the seller. And too don't forget that with ebay you may have to pay shipping, handling, insurances, pay pal prices, etc. You should probably check to see if there are any coin stores or coin shows in your area. If not, also, try many of the on line dealers. Very possibly some will have one that you can trust to be the grade advertised.
