Hi there!

Currently, I'm looking for this (see image) dutch railway medal. I have reason te believe some of them ended up in the United States. Do some of you know this medal?

I would bet your best chance is to find this in the Netherlands, I would go on to go herehttp://www.ebay.nl/ This is ebay in the Netherlands. I don't speak Dutch myself but can read and understand it, but on numerous occasions I have bought stuff, most recently a Dutch tile from the 17th century on ebay.nl and most if not all the sellers there speak English.

BTW I have visited this museum in Utrechthttp://john.spoorwegmuseum.nl/ A fantastic museum which is not too far from the Dutch Mint, which itself is a good visit.

Hi everyone,

Actually, I am from the Netherlands and the reason i"m looking for this medal elsewhere is that it is nowhere to be found in the Netherlands. Even specialised medal-dealers have never seen this one outside the Dutch railway museum.
Funny thing is that there must be several dozens of them since they were handed out after a special presentation to the press of a new type of diesel-train (the one on the top line). At the back of some of them, according to the archive of the factory that produced these medals, there is a text in English, saying:
SOUVENIR FROM _ BARON KRAIJENHOFF _TO HIS _ AMERICAN RAILrd FRIENDS _ HOLLAND _ 1928/1934.
