Does anyone know where I can find a "ring" to put around a 3 cent silver piece so that it fits snugly in a dime-size holder? I'm also looking for other sized rings.

I have a Whitman plastic year set holder (cent-thru-half). It is now serving as a quasi-year set for my 1861 coins. My 1861 half and quarter fit nicely. A 3-cent piece is in the dime's spot, a gold dollar is in the cent's spot, the cent is in the nickel's slot (while the diameter is fine, it is too thick to close the holder when it is in the cent slot). I'd like "rings" to put around the coins that are too small for their slots.

FYI, these are all vf-ef coins, so I'm not concerned with "wear" to the coins from the holder. It is handled infrequently, and gently. But I'd like them to stay right-side-up, and I'd prefer that they not 'rattle' when moved. The rings would need to correct the diameter issue, but not be noticeably thicker that the coins so that the holder will still snap shut.

I assume I'm one the few who prefers storing/displaying coins this way, as opposed to 2x2s or albums. Does anybody else use these set holders?

Bilbo ... I thought you already found "THE" Ring.

As a J.R.R. Tolkien fan I just couldn't resist.
