A bit tedious to turn them over one by one while having to remember "Heads should not be upside down!" but I found a few rotated, not too rotated but still rotated.

I put some lines on a flip so I could align the camera better. I didn't do a very good job on that last one but it looks like it's only off one or two degrees.

I keep hoping one day I'll find one with an upside-down head in the wild.

The top one is rotated about 15 degrees and the last one about 20. Is the mint tolerance 15 or 30 degrees?

Good eye..rotations are always worth looking for, the larger the rotation the bigger the premium. I have very few penny rotations beyond 15 degrees.

That's a very noticeable rotation pennyman, looks to be over 20 degrees.

So anything below 15 degrees are common?

I haven't found rotations in 12-sided pennies yet. But they minted those in vast quantities, there's gotta be some out there.

15 and under is quite common especially in certain years. I do have lots of rotated nickels but nothing over about 30 degrees at the moment.

I'll be keeping the ones rotated 15 degrees and over then.

I don't roll hunt anymore because everything here is plated (and pointless). I'm looking through the pennies I have to see if I missed anything.

Thats where I found my best rotated nickel it was 2007 over 100 degrees and mint, sold for a couple hundred plus. That was shortly after I first got into coins and it proved the year doesn't matter when looking for errors. Ive also found lots of great strike through nickels from 2000-2014.. BUT it is more tedious and not as exciting as looking through customer wrapped rolls. I also have the habit of checking everything with a magnet just in case.

I check every penny minted 2002 and after with a magnet if that's a year they minted in both zinc and steel. Chances of finding one are slim but there obviously are still some undiscovered ones.

Maybe I should get back to roll hunting one day. I just find that looking through plated coins are too boring.
