Thats a denarius of Antoninus Pius. Someone has either defaced it or tried to clean it with a jackhammer. Part of the reverse legend reads 'IMP VI' - this is the date mark, meaning this was struck in the sixth year of his reign, about 144AD (its the regnal date system, about the only thing the romans had, though an aureus of hadrian has the AUC date (since the founding of Rome) and theycertainly kept track of it, issuing a coin celebrating 1000AUC - though marked with the regnal year system).
Actually it's Marcus Auerlius with the legend of: M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXVI. The reverse legend is : IMP VI COS II, Type: Aequitas standing left holding scale and cornucopia.
