I bought a medal on ebay that has the CSA Emblem on one side and the CSA half dollar design on the other. It also came with a paper envelope stating it was from the Coin of the Month club January 1961.

Does anyone remember who the "Coin of the Month Club" was from that period? It has a Franklin Mint look to it but I don't think they got started until around 1965.

Any tips about this will be appreciated. Trying to find "Coin of the Month" in google is about the same as trying to find a specific glass of water in the ocean.

I was really getting into coin collecting in 1961. That was the year I joined the ANA. I do remember the Coin of the Month Club, but can't recall any details.

Thanks, I forgot all about them. Yes they started in 1945. I got to do some more checking but they would seem to be a very good possibility.

Many different dealers have had Coin of the Month clubs over the years and at least two still have monthly coin purchase programs.
