Red Valued Member United Kingdom 252 Posts	Posted 01/17/2015 08:55 am I seem to recall this kind of thing was attributed to marks made on the dies by over zealous cleaning/brushing of the dies. Could be wrong tho, but will certainly be interested in other takes on it. Report this Post to the Staff
tenbobbit Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 701 Posts	Posted 01/17/2015 6:49 pm This is the first 20p I have seen with " odd " marks from the 2014 coins so far, the vast majority are the £2 coins which have an astronomical amount of different flaws and errors. I have a couple of £2 coins that show " tree rings " on the reverse side outer ring, plus many other varieties which includes a unique die chip on the end of liz's nose that looks like a bogie. E-bay has lots of 2014 coins at the moment, more than you could ever expect Report this Post to the Staff
