Looks fairly original.
G6 seems right. Too much wear for a VG grade IMO.

Not your best pick but I wouldn't be drowning my troubles at the local watering hole after it. Unless, of course, I'd planned on being there anyway. I'm seeing what seems to be uneven wear, and the rim involvement keeps me from VG for it. When you get it in-hand, look close to see if it might be showing a die alignment issue.

Hard to attribute the "medium letters" variety from the seller's photo but $16 is a good price. Now that I've looked at it a minute from the position of the hair curl it almost has to be a large letter variety. Hard to tell but I'm thinking N-1 die variety.

If you look at the reverse, the orientation of the second S in STATES doesn't go past the tip of the leaf. On the large letter version, the S goes way past. I hope it's a medium letter, that's really the only reason I bought it Thanks all.

The sixth leaf is past right of the S not near right. On the medium letters obverse (N-6) the left edge of the curl is over the right edge of the 3. On this coin the left edge of the curl is over the left edge of the 0. Now I'm thinking this might be an N-7 which is an R4. Way cooler than an N-6! N-7 description by Newcomb; Obverse closely resembles N-1. 6th star slightly past right of the coronet. Left edge of the curl over the outside edge of the 0. Underside of the top of the E recut. Tops of E and R almost touch. Fine crack from rim below first star to point of bust. Reverse A. 6th leaf past center of D. 13th leaf right of S. 15th leaf past center of F. 23rd leaf center of the A. Large letters. Point of second leaf below center of I. Point of 9th leaf below the left edge of the upright of the T. 10th berry just to the left of center of the left upright of M. Small plain center dot. N-7 R4 in my opinion.

When you get this coin in hand I'm eager to see better photos of this coin and if it is an R4 you can tell Dave

Before 1836 all the mint dies were hand crafted. Every die is distinct and I love pouring over the books and trying to attribute a coin. Therein lies the hobby as far as I'm concerned. I've attributed all my coins now I get to attribute yours. Even if it is an N-1 it's still a good buy for $16.
