....without my glasses it looks just like a quarter. The size is identical, but I'm sure the weight is off, because I immediately tried it in a vending machine and it came right back out. I took it out of circulation, and it's now in my son's treasure chest

Yes, the Ecuadorian sucre has been pegged to the U.S. dollar since 2000, so they make coins that are the exact same size as their American equivalents.

I think I have a full set of these, except the Eisenhower-sized 1-sucre. I doubt it circulated much.
