Information about the Canada tokens I have been posting.

"During the first half of the l9th century there was a chronic shortage of small coins in Lower Canada. In 1835, following a government decision to remove all the lightweight pieces from circulation, the shortage became acute. No official coins were issued but the Bank of Montreal, the Quebec Bank, the City Bank and La Banque du Peuple were given authority to issue penny and halfpenny tokens of a weight similar to that of British copper coins."

Information is from the Coins and Canada web site.

This information is more connected to the coin I
posted yesterday .. but I think Nova Scotia was
doing similar minting.

Thanks. These photos were a 2nd attempt, with much greater diffusion below the Jansjo lights.

Here is the initial attempt from April 20, with much smaller diffusers attached directly to the Jansjos:

It's interesting how much difference a little lighting change (and some Slab Renew) can make.
