Thanks. Correction to previous posting: German coin should be BRUNSWICK-WOLFENBUTTEL rather than Luneberg.
My 1600's are fairly sparse. Looking forward to what others have to show!

Great Britain -- 1697 6 pence:   The date is not very clear on the photo above. Here's another photo of the reverse that shows the date more clearly:  This one was taken using pseudo-axial lighting, with the Nikon PB-4 tilt/shift bellows and a 105mm or 135mm El-Nikkor. The shift function was used and coin image was also at the edge of the sensor. Light was bounced off the coin at an angle into the lens and camera. |

1695 kurus, Ottoman Empire, Kostantiniyye (Constantinople) mint. The silver kurus of Mustafa II was only minted in the year that he ascended to the sultanate, AH1106 (1695). It is crown sized in diameter but only 18-20 grams.  |
