Great Britain 1916 halfcrown. The Garter legend, in Norman French, reads "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" (Evil be to he who thinks evil). This is one of the highest points of the design, and British collectors have long argued as to whether a 'Fine' grade can be given to a halfcrown with an incomplete garter legend!
