I "found" this in my vast hoard this weekend and had no idea what it was, but after searching the internet I figured out it is a 1852 presidential campaign token.
Correct. It's an 1852 Winfield Scott presidential campaign medal, and lists his military successes in Chippewa, Lundy's Lane, Cerro Gordo, Contreras, Churubusco, Chapultepec, Mexico. DeWitt number WS 1852-13. These are collectible and I'm guessing that in that condition might get $20-30 or more on ebay.
