I found these looking through a bunch of pennies and was wondering if there was anything special about them.

These look like damaged coins ( PMD). The damage was caused after leaving the mint. The 1940 also looks cleaned.

Too bad the older cents are damaged.

I can't pinpoint a specific cause, but they have been pressed with something after going into circulation.

The 1982 has vice markings on the rim so it has been squeezed.
The 1950 looks like someone tried to cut it with wirecutters.
not sure what happened to the last one but all 3 are PMD
