It's got the right weight but it's not round anymore. Looks like it's partially flattened.

Far from an expert but I believe this is PMD. It reminds me of my 1940 penny that is scraped and tapers down to nearly flat, but your dime is almost completely damaged. Maybe it was found in a parking lot or on the side of a road.

Post mint damage. The reeding suggests a full collar strike, which was then flattened into an oblong shape.
