Hi guys...I just bought and received a hefty twopence and was wondering if 57.54 grams is an acceptable weight ? Thanks.

I though they came in by the tonne, not grams.

Apparently 56.1g is the normal weight. I thought these were the size because they contained the right amount of copper to be worth 2 pence. But if it weighs a little bit more I wouldn't have thought it a problem.

The official weight was 2 ounces avoirdupois which is 56.7 grams. The thickness should be 5 mm.

Wow! this must be two pense week. Just bought one Thursday. Yours in much better shape than mine. Mine came with a price tag from a coin dealer in London and a 68 pound price tag. But I only paid $50 for it and a 1949 half crown and three 50 P.
