I just started collecting them about a month ago, and so far, I've been very fortunate. I have 33/50 State Quarters + Puerto Rico and D.C. I also have 15/25 ATBs. Just picked up several today. Some are duplicates that I keep because of their excellent condition.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's the most collected set in the United States.

I'm missing the 99 silvers. I'm up to date on the ATBs.

Still trying to find he 2009-P territories. 2009-D was easy but only came by one P for over 2 years... Haven't started the ATB yet, going to start soon. Are you collecting P+D or just one coin for each?

Just one for each Wayne, but I'll keep any of them that are really really nice.
There seems to be a flood of Florida Everglades ATBs around here. I have at least 2 that are quite lustrous.

I was able to get my entire P&D set for the dansco last year within a month or so. About half of the territories are still evading me, however!

All my State Quarters and ATBs are in a coffee can with the rest of my quarters. I simply don't collect them as I believe that they will never be worth anything. Too many are being saved. I will say one thing about the commemorative quarters and that is that they have gotten thousands of people into collecting coins and for that reason they deserve respect.

I wanted to complete my wife's statehood album we found when moving and it got me hooked! She can't say anything because she help started this hobby for me.

I have a lot of coins that aren't worth anything.
Heck, I put a 2014 shield cent in a flip today...
Haha...

I have been trying to get the full set of State Quarters from circulation... in Canada. It's an interesting challenge, but not as hard as you'd think: Canadian coins are really contaminated with American coins. Vending machines will take them (because those vending machines are all using American coin-acceptors with minor changes to accommodate the loonie and toonie) and the USD is almost always worth slightly more than our dollar, so nobody gets angry when they get an American quarter instead of a Canadian one. So far I'm just over halfway there, collecting both mintmarks. In Edmonton, Alberta, Denver mintmarks are much more common than Philadelphia. The most commonly found State Quarters here are the older ones - it seems to me like it takes a few years for American coins to get thoroughly mixed in to our money supply. I only have about ten or so ATBs, but I always keep those even if they're duplicates. They are quite nice - it's a shame that American collecting is so focused on super-graded rarities and super-priced classics because the nice run of modern American circulating commemoratives seem to be almost completely ignored. Especially the Presidential dollars - very rarely you will find one masquerading as a loonie, and I'm always glad when that happens. I'll keep venting about modern American coins - you guys should make more circulating one-off commemoratives. Long, endless sets of coins fill a binder well, but they start to get boring after a while. In Canada we have lots of unique commemoratives - recently we've had a standalone toonie commemorating the centennial of the Great War, and now there's another standalone toonie commemorating the 200th birthday of Canada's first prime minister, John A. MacDonald. Your annual not-for-circulation silver dollars are so nice, why not put those designs on circulation coins so that everybody can see them? So, I'm curious - are there any American collectors who collect Canadian coins out of circulation? Our set of " State Quarters" is a lot easier to complete:

Nala, I have never seen one of those in circulation, but I'm in Tennessee - a pretty long way from Canada. If I ever found one, I'd keep it. I did find this a few months ago, and as you can see, it's in a flip...

The last two times I went to the States, I kept putting my $1 bills in those "change machines". I got about 20 different states quickly but it seemed to stall at that point on, I kept getting duplicates. I only have 2 ATBs as of now.
I am still missing 13 P mints and 36 of the D mints. Ironically I've only found the Canadian Nova Scotia quarter. I don't roll hunt anymore either, with nothing but plated coins here...

The only time see Canadian coins here in Texas are the 1cents. Never seen a Canadian quarter this far south in the lower 48s...
