here's a rough provincial I couldn't say no to for the price. provincial, has serapis and good legends...sold.  philip ii mesembria, thrace pentassaria(?) 244-246 ad 26mm 12.7g o: busts of philip and serapis; M AR IOYLIOC PHILIPPOC/KAICA, R below r: athena; MECAMB RIANWN Moushmov 4032 thanks to BobL for the help with attribution on this coin..  Elymais Orodes II 2nd century AD AE Drachm 17mm 4.2g O:Bearded facing bust; crescent and anchor to r. R:Aramaic legend around bust of Belos. Van't Haaff Type 13.1. I've been wanting a coin of elymais for a while now, and this one seemed to be pretty nice and well centered despite missing a bit of the obverse anchor. |

Number 1 is cool but number 2 is great! I really love how much legend you have on number 2. The bust is awesome and has a really unique style.

Just an fyi: the Aramaic legend here translates as "King Orodes, Son of Orodes."

thanks bob, I was wondering about the reverse legend. I found a coin online with that reverse legend as part of the attribution, but it was in poor shape and I couldn't quite match up the shape of the characters (since I can't read aramaic). i'll put that on my flip insert!
