Hello everyone, I work at the Dr. Walter Chestnut Library and every year we put on an art festival. Since the library is right next to the world's largest covered bridge it draws allot of tourists.

I want to get a roll of NB provincial quarters (with the covered bridge) and make necklaces by putting them in bezels to make historic/numismatic souvenirs.

Where can I get air-tites in Canada? To ship 50 of them from one site I am looking at $30 American and the ones they sell on J&M coins cost too much.

I want to get this necklaces under $5 to make (I am not valuing my time) any ideas of websites I can order from? I tried CCC, J&M and Air-Tites. Maybe I can look at Vancouver Coins or maybe an ebay seller?

Are you going to put them in airtites after putting on the bezel? It will affect the size of the airtite.

I was going to suggest CA Supplies, but they are out of airtites for quarters.
If you are going to put the bezel on, then put the coin in the airtite, you could
go for 26.5 mm or 28 mm possibly, depending on how thick the bezel is.
Probably $30 Cdn for the airtites, delivered. Good luck.

I was thinking of these SilverDon, they are both an airtite and a bezel.

Are bezels self enclosed? I never really worked with them. I was just thinking an MS quarter should be encased but I want to try to get the most bang for my buck.

Edit:

Maybe I could find away to stick a loop onto a coin capsule? If the coin is encased super glueing a loop to the case wouldn't hurt it, would it?

Should be OK, as long as you are gluing on the outside of the airtite, nowhere near the crack,
would hate to have that stuff get in there, you could get loops from a crafts store, jewellery supplies.

My wife says go to Michaels with the airtite in hand and they have jewelry glue (and experts) that could be used to afix a loop to an airtite.
Ask the jewelry craft assistant for help with product selection.
Superglue may not withstand temperature variations with a metal loop sticking to plastic capsule but jewelry glue may.

We get a lot of back packers and what have you and we have amazing artists and some not so amazing artists that sometime over charge.

If you are from BC or South Maine you don't want a giant eagle on canvas for $200, you want something that screams local and fits in your pocket. I will undercut everyone I work with.

Also I picked up a lot of silver chains by buying bags of costume jewelry at yard sales so your "dumb question" gave me the idea to also carry a higher tier premium necklace, thank you!

So I will check the RCM site for bezels and look into Silver Don's idea. Maybe an apoxy and my fishing tackle box will be dug out for this project.
