canadiancoincollector Valued Member Canada 73 Posts	Posted 01/25/2015 12:21 am Hi there, I haven't been able to find much information on these notes, apparently most of these were destroyed as the mint recalled them or something, I'm just wondering what varieties of signatures there are, and how rare they actually are. Shoeplier Valued Member Canada 254 Posts	Posted 01/25/2015 12:57 am You will probably need a second opinion to confirm this information, but I believe Macklem/Carney $5 notes are hard to find because they were not meant to be released. The few that are out there are asking for hundreds of dollars on ebay, which may or may not be overpriced. They printed over 3 million but only about 20 have been discovered. All other signatures are common and found on many millions of banknotes produced. I hope this helps. Report this Post to the Staff

wazzappenning Valued Member Canada 329 Posts	Posted 01/25/2015 11:55 am the way I had understood it, they were given out in ottawa at a release celebration of the notes.
