Hi there, I haven't been able to find much information on these notes, apparently most of these were destroyed as the mint recalled them or something, I'm just wondering what varieties of signatures there are, and how rare they actually are.

You will probably need a second opinion to confirm this information, but I believe Macklem/Carney $5 notes are hard to find because they were not meant to be released. The few that are out there are asking for hundreds of dollars on ebay, which may or may not be overpriced. They printed over 3 million but only about 20 have been discovered. All other signatures are common and found on many millions of banknotes produced. I hope this helps.

I know of 2, one a friend received from the bank,
the other a dealer sold for a hundred.

I see. So they're really rare then. What other variations of signatures are there for the 5 dollar polymer notes?

the way I had understood it, they were given out in ottawa at a release celebration of the notes. I also have one but not great condition. I believe 300,000 were printed but dont know about recalled or not.
