I couldn't agree with you more. Without searching in depth on the individuals that sell these coins, I have to wonder if they knowingly sell fake errors, create them themselves or just haven't a clue as to what they are really doing.

Ignorance is not an excuse. That excuse simply does not fly, if the object (any object) is damaged or stolen. Too many times I see dealers playing that card. I'll point out a PMD coin to them, they shrug, and toss it back in their case for sale... At least in the seller's defence, he does take returns...

20.51 US for 15 minutes work, if that. Education is key when taking something on in your life. How to avoid!
SPP, I'm impressed, you know your tools too lol, most peeps call it an eastwing lol, including many that carry it on their toolbelt daily lol. Experience speaking here and dealing with many years in the trades.

That is because Estwing also manufactures rock hammers... something I know much about using!

Amen to that, and about the best you can get in the way of a good rock hammer. Have you ever got a ringer rock hammer?

I've had 3 ringers over the years and each one was honored with a free replacement of a non-ringer. Now that's good coverage on warranty and true to their word! I use nothing other than Estwing!

Estwing also makes this bad boy... a model which I have been using since 1992... although, I have bent a few over the years trying to muscle small boulders out of deeper soil sample pits... http://www.estwing.com/g_geo_paleo_pick.php

now that's one I've never seen, looks pretty sweet and multi purpose too. Special order? High carbon? You mentioned you've bent a few, did one ever break on ya?

i like Estwing, they are a good brand. Now for the coin, I believe it sold for 20.51 plus 12 shipping. It defiantly looked questionable.
