Can we expect the 50 Cent rolls to be released for this year? Any info on a release date?

Does someone know something I don't? I have been getting an abnormal amount of calls and emails about the 2015 50¢ rolls.

The CA has all rolls in stock (for 2015), and the 50c not listed. Something "cooked" here around this roll. Looks like again will be "specially wrapped" by RCM and priced $1 + Tax per single coin.

Yeah, that has been the case for several years now. 200K roll mintage + uncirculated set at premium pricing. I think the key point is that the 50c is no longer a circulation coin (not available from a bank).
Are they even still minted in Winnipeg? Are the uncirculated sets packaged there?
It would be conceivable that they box up a bunch of production coins (5c-$2) and ship them to Ottawa for packaging. Ottawa could easily run-off the limited 50c production run.

I buy 3 50 cent rolls every year, these and the 1cent last million rolls (still sitting on some of those, I bought extras at the time for 20.00 each where ever I could find them and at the time thought I was overpaying lol). are really the only rolls I have bought , I wish the 50 cent rolls would appreciate like the last million penny rolls but ah well.

Quote: 50 cent rolls are available at the mint now. For the MC members only right now. The RCM website caches your recently viewed items and displays it on the right side of the page. So I logged in yesterday as MC and open 50 cent roll page. Today just opened the mint.ca without login and I still able to see the 50 cent roll as "recently viewed", but can't open the page to see the details.

I stopped buying them when the mintage climbed from 6,000 and 15,000 to 20,000 then this year 25,000 rolls, cant understand why they keep upping the mintage.25,000 to many rolls.

Don't mind much about the mintage. Have been collecting these rolls for years and don't dare miss a year! These tend to hold their value and are always popular!

actually you can easily find these on sale for $20 or so from many shops. Don't forget you pay taxes on the $24.95 as well.

Ya 15,000 is a reasonable mintage on those 50 cent rolls, I didn't buy any this year , I usually buy 3 rolls every year but the mintages keep going up. its fine for those who like them and don't care about mintages , every collector collects for his or her own reasons which is good.
