Does this coin look legit?
These inexperienced eyes can't see a blakesley effect.
If it is legit, is this a fair price?

Looks good to me. The Blakesley effect is there, more visible on the reverse.

Looks like someone thought it was worth

It just sold for $11.95.

JimmyD, I bought the coin earlier today... before I saw your thread here

I usually jump at larger clips in mint state condition, and this one looked good and the price was about half of what these usually sell for (at least now you know what they can be worth).

That said, if you collect 25c errors and really want this one... send me a PM.

Just saw that one listed and was interested in the value of
what clipped coins might be.
