Just got this coin in the mail. From the pictures online, I had thought the bottom of the reverse had a nice big die crack. But then when I see under my magnifying glass, it looks more like something might have stained it and caused it to oxidize quicker.

either that or the coin was lacquered and something peeled off. I posted a pic of the obverse and it doesn't look like its in MS or even AU, so the luster can't be original.

Any thoughts?

I often see stains on pennies, I think that there was something on the pennies that reacted with it over time. Like fingerprints.

That coin is AU, Pointed 7 variety. George VI cents were commonly weakly struck for some years.
