I'm a fan of the early ANACS Photograde stuff, but have no idea about this. What is it, and how much is it worth? Thanks. Ed

What is it,

Assuming you mean the token, here is the answer.

Reference is

Help-With-Identification-And-Value-Of-Early-German-Token.

One of the Nuremberg masters was

Help-With-Identification-And-Value-Of-Early-German-Token.

and in that section 1.A) the token from ebay appears as

Help-With-Identification-And-Value-Of-Early-German-Token.

Number 1862, only copied the test for number 1861 as well because only modifications from 1861 are mentioned at 1862, so neither the king's bust nor the exergue.

The German text on the reverse translates to "through (good) luck and diligence".

As per value - don't ask me.

Seems that ANACS got the ~1724-1768 period right, with the "ML" in the exergue probably being a marker by the workshop of Michael Leykauff. While when the certification happened Mitchiner's book I quoted was not available, they probably had access to the previous work by Mitchiner from 1982 quoted by himself.
