I am guessing that this is a lamination (after strike) error. But, since it is a perfect rectangle, I thought I should ask if might be a struck through (paper maybe?) error. the area in question is incuse.I would appreciate all opinions, thanks!

Could you post an image of the other side? But what I'm seeing is all the signs of a lamination peel on that area. If it were a struck through, the design would be blocked out totally. But because there is the ghost of it, I believe it is a lamination issue.

Is this the area you are talking about, John?

What I am seeing is the varying strength of the peel lamination. You see the ghost image of the left wheat lines in that area and some of the left grains.

It is just the irregular peeling off of the lamination. Just one of those things they eyes try to make sense of like clouds shaped like something?
