I found this interesting 1994 LMC (1994P-1DER-045T 050°)

Too bad for the stains.

Still a nice find. Keep until you find a better condition one.

Thank you gentlemen. I gave it a flip and I'm always on the lookout for interesting specimens, especially upgrades.

I agree 2014. This one has the trails from the other devices and the Memorial as well. Fun coin.

I collect these on the 'neat' factor more so than the $$. However, I took a look on ebay and I see some for sale there and some are listed for a decent premium. However, a large number of the trail coins posted there are not trails - finger feeder damage seems to be a source of confusion and the premiums sought there tend to be the highest of all things. Anyway, just thought that was interesting too.

John - I know your a collector of trails, but not sure if you've tried to sell any or if you've purchased any. With that said, what's your take on value of trails (not mine in particular, but in general)?

Coop - are trails part of your montage of 'neat specimens'? Any ideas on the value of trail coins?

Here is an interesting set of trails. (I don't know what year it was, but Mike let me use these images through the years.

I just check the trail die site and they don't have a price guide. But the trails that are as strong as the coin I posted, would be one people would want. But price? It would be what you could get for them. Some are so minor, a lot are medium strength, the the extreme ones would probably be the ones with a premium as I see it. I still save them, just in case a guide does come out.

Thanks Coop. I particularly like the distortion shown in the first column/second row image. Very interesting! The prices on ebay Coins are pretty diverse but perhaps prices need to 'storm' before they 'norm'. I'm going to hang onto the more unique or previously identified trail coins. Maybe the market will develop to relative to the developing interest.
