Got this out of an uncleaned lot. I can clearly make out an "ARAVGPM." The only three emperors I can find with that are Nero, Galba and Claudius. The bust doesn't look right to me for any of them, but looks a lot closer to Claudius than the other two. Is my hunch correct?

The reverse doesn't have anything going on. I'll stick it in the olive oil and maybe pull something out but for now it's no help.

12.46 g, 27.97 mm.

Could do with a bigger picture, and the reverse, even if there is nothing there.

There is more to see from the obverse legend, at least the 'S' in front. Tried to download and enlarge the picture but it didn't work. Claudius is probably a fair assumption but one shouldn't discount the others.

Tried to post this last night but was having trouble connecting to the site:

After looking at the reverse under indirect light there is something there. If it is oriented correctly I can't find a wildwinds match though.

It's most likely Claudius with reverse of Ceres seated left.

PB, looks like that might be what it is. Thanks everyone!

Does this look like one that an extended olive oil soak might help out? I'm thinking it might darken it up a little.

This one already got 2 weeks in DI and the toothbrush, but I'll put it back in for a while longer.

Might need a little help with picked some of the stuff on the obverse away.
While I think that 'Paul Bulgerin' has the general type right, I think there is a different exergue, something like ?O?.?S? - so could be 'COL.', question what comes after.
