I originally was going to focus only on the copper/bronze issues for my type set, but couldn't resist buying this one as I was surprised when I found it for sale. Not really sure how this stacks up to those that remain in collectors hands, I just know they are scarce and rarely offered for sale. This one isn't too bad, Britannia is still defined and you can make out the outlines of the busts. Edge lettering is gone, so as for a date, 1690 or 91 would be my guess.

I've just got a couple of examples of the tin coinage.
Surprisingly Thames recovered tin coinage is quite pleasant.
Excellent coins will cost a kings ransom.

If you are lucky enough to find a tin halfpenny in ANY condition, grab it!

I've seen photos from Thames recovered coins, incredible coins. I hope to stumble across a James II example someday in any grade. Thanks for your comments above!
