so there's this 100 dollar bill, the newer one, but this particular bill has a green strip instead of a blue one, and the ink jar and the 100 dollar number is also green oppose to gold.. please see picture, and how much do you think this bill is worth, if its a misprint. thanks

I'm not sure what happened with the strip, but the bell in the ink jar is printed with ink that's suppose to change color so that is not an error. Someone else should know about the strip though.

Is it normal that it did not change color yet. but as for the strip it is green but there is no bell symbol corresponding in the strip, but instead the number 100... I checked the bill to see if I could be possibly a fake, but it is indeed real.

Quote: the strip it is green but there is no bell symbol corresponding in the strip, but instead the number 100... I believe when the strip turns green the bells should turn into 100's. Why yours does not change to blue with bells.....no idea....did the security strip miss a step in production? Can you post a pic of the bill flat on the table?

Not knowing these bills I would assume the strips are holograms of some sort, which would lead me with my limited knowledge to believe the strip is made of multiple parts. Perhaps one of the parts of the strip was upside down or in some kind of wrong position?

The strips aren't holograms but multidirectional lenticular prints implemented through a matrix of micro lenses.
It *should* be blue. I'd contact your local Secret Service branch and have them inspect it if you can't find anythg else about other examples in the wild.

Thanks for the link Groszy. That thread made it onto the forums during my hiatus.
