I have had a go at identifying them but only one has enough of the legend visible for a novice like me to work with. SB1966, DO13i. on the wildwinds site. Manuel I comnenus. The only difference is my coin hasn't got an " M " above/between the 2 figures, it looks more like a bird holding something in its beak. The other 2 have left me stumped as there is no legend to work with but both have on the reverse ( I think ) a character seated holding a small head in their lap. I am struggling to get a good reverse picture at the moment, will add them as soon as I get it sorted. TIA

The one in the middle seems to be Alexius III - have a look at SB#2012.

Thanks Med There are 2 examples and the top 1 is closest to mine, just the dots on the clothes are different. I didn't want to pop it out its holder but needed to get a decent picture of both sides so here they are Not much left of the other side , only the left side letters of IC with something else above it.

Have another look, the dots on the clothing match better with the second example. Let's wait for 'echizento', but I guess he will agree with me on this one.

I agree with you 100% Med, I said the top 1 because it has the same symbol between the 2 characters ( long stick with dot above )and placed more importance ( in my mind )on this over the dots. This all new to me Med so I apologise in advance for future errors

No need to apologise, people consider different points as most important. For me it is with those Byzantine issues where there is more or less no legend: 1. Overall design 2. Patterns on clothing 3. Other design details Wonder what the approach of others is in that regard.

As you say the first one is Manuel I, the second does appear to be Alexius III SB 2012. And the last one appears to be Isaac II SB 2003.

Many thanks Echizento Looks like they are all attributed now, nice little set to start of with. I think I need to order another bundle as I have nothing left to play with, once I do that a few times I can start to connect some dots and be more specific with my collecting. I have also learnt a lot about an historic period that I thought I had no interest in, now I'm hooked Thanks everyone for your help with my coins I will let you know when my next batch arrives.
