Probably "hot" series, but nothing special.
Except this, CC-Ottawa mentioned correctly - they've probably been commissioned by CC&C. As I remember, the same case was with coloured Polar Bear / Caribou - sellout and availability for (near) issue at the dealers.

Maybe the RCM will find some for some individuals who missed out just like the Murano Frog coin.

That's actually funny. The ebay seller is a member here (GWAKO) and he has a store in Toronto. He's offering the coin for $79.99 USD which is roughly the $99.99 CAD issue price. However, the shipping to the US, from Canada, is $5.00 but it's $10.00USD to shipping within Canada.

Can't say about US, but within Toronto people ship for $10...

Shipping in Canada is most definitely more expensive. Our prepaid options here are more restrictive than in the US.

Agreed. It's cheaper to ship in the US than Canada. But the point was that the seller is shipping from Toronto and charging half as much for international shipping. That makes no sense to me. Added: I'll give CP some credit - they sure are fast. My doorbell rang this morning (Lake Huron coin being delivered), before I could run to the door, the Postie was back in his van and headed down the street; delivery 'attempt' notice in the mailbox. The guy must have been Ben Johnson.

I must have misunderstood the post CC-Ottawa. Maybe we need to start piss testing the CPC employees? Customers often echo the sentiment you have just put forth.

Went back and re read the post CC-Ottawa. I must admit my opinion was a little skewed as we ship to the USA vis USPS. We clear the packages at the border and drop them directly into the USPS mail stream in Pembina ND. We do this because of the great rates and top notch speed from the USPS. Maybe thats why the are hemorrhaging money? Also we are only about a 1 hour drive to the border. We do this every couple of weeks which still gets the orders in customers hands as quickly as using Canada post but at a fraction of the cost. Helps us continue to offer low shipping rates.
If my memory serves me right the cost of shipping an Expedited package from Canada to the USA via Canada post is in and around the $15-$20 range. We do not do as many of those anymore as the majority of our USA orders go the USPS route. I assume GWAKO is dropping packages across the border directly in the USA in order to get such a low rate.

He works at the post office himself - I am sure that influences it.

I just wanted to drop in and clear some assumptions.
For shipments within Canada we use Canada Post and shipments to the USA we do use USPS, hence the price difference as USPS has much cheaper rates.
