First I'm new to this forum and thank you for having me. The 1835 Large cent I found under a rock in 1973 along with the other ones in title. I totally forgot I had these until a few days ago.I'll try to upload the cent. If you want I'll take a picture of the others. Do you think this is a nice find? Quote: The 1835 Large cent I found under a rock in 1973 along with the other ones in title What a great story, I'd like to hear more. Also, there is a Classic Coin Grading Sub-forum. If you post your coins there individually, you will get lots of responses. That 1935 Large cent is in great shape, probably EF condition, but it looks cleaned, which hurts the value a bit. Please don't clean any of your coins.

Thank you,Yes it was cleaned once a long time ago. I was showing it off to my grandfather and he cleaned it because it was black. I guess hiding under a slate slab in PA cause it to turn that color? It's been sealed until the other day. The home I grew up in was over 200 years old, the first owner was a banker. I have a bunch of coins ,but never looked into searching the values. It might be time to sell everything off.

How old are some of these other coins. They could potentially be quite valuable.

52Raymo, I wish I had a detector back then. The first owner was a banker and this house(over 200 years old) was one of the first build in town. I found a bunch of coins in the yard. I'll post what came out of the front yard. I know for sure more coins are there ,but my parents sold the house long ago. I only cleaned the 5 Indian cents and 1 major error I did trying to teach my kids something. All the 1943 wheats were new sealed in a bag. When I dug them out dug were really nice and not thinking.I dumped the whole lot in a bowl of cleaner thinking they were silver. Now they look like crap and I don't think I can clean that. Lesson learn!!!

Sealed in a bag? Sounds like a previous owner was stashing treasure. Keep looking for the bag of gold!

DON'T CLEANY ANY MORE OF THE COINS! I sure hope you didn't clean that 1871 Indian cent. That is worth upwards of $300-$400 if you didn't clean it. If you cleaned it like the rest of the Indian cents, then it can't be worth more than $50.

The 1871 Indian Head with full liberty looks like the best by far, worth a couple hundred dollars.

The 1871 indian looks to be pretty nice. Please post a picture of the reverse of that coin. If its a "shallow n" variety, could be worth more. Also, post a picture off the error.....if thats an Indian Head cent, that is really a neat error. Can't say I've seen one like that before. That could go for big bucks even though you can't see a date (or anything really).
