Nice finds nohope, wish I had your luck at parks. I'm gonna try the school playground tonight or tomorrow. and then I have to drive 20-30 minutes to other towns for park hunting.

Try the local Library (Ask one of the employees first)
I have had a lot of luck around the outside of mine where the kids park their bikes.

well surprisingly this little town does have a "library", however its surrounded by concrete. perhaps church grounds would produce some good finds? we got dozens of those here.

Talk to the pastors churches especial baptist churches regularly hold picnics and fish fry usually at the same places. These are always good for a few coins and the occasional bit of jewelry. I usually offer to post a notice in the church if I find any rings etc just in case it can be re-united with the owner.
