I won this 1936 Buffalon for $4.00 on ebay. I'm no expert at grading Buffalos.

It's a frosty coin and I can't detect any noticeable wear under 10x magnification, but I'm not sure if the lighter areas on the buffalo's front leg are light gold toning (which it looks like it is to me) or light rub.

What do folks think? MS or nice AU?

Thanks for your opinions. For $4.00 I'm not complaining if it's an AU.

I think I see just enough of a rub to call it Mid AU. Obverse cheek, forehead, and top center hair. reverse, upper front leg and above. Minimal wear but just my opinion.

still a bargain for $4.
Rest in Peace

Buffaloes are notoriously difficult to grade. Lots of weak strikes out there... which this is NOT! Gorgeous! What's going on between the 9&3? Looks like an over date.
