I'm new to the site and forums. I just found this and wondered how rare it is and what the errors are called. It has very faint ridges and the back is sunk down low.
That appears to be the beginnings of a so-called "dryer coin," actually (you can search the forum for good examples -- or Coop will be in here with them shortly). It's a type of damage caused after the coin has left the mint and has circulated for a bit, caught in a clothes dryer or a slot machine or other place where it's rolled on its edge a lot.
Can we see pictures of the obverse and reverse (heads and tails)?
