Here is what I go by for a VG-8 struck on silver:
The eyebrow has been worn off. The band and jewels of the crown and the bow of shoulder are very worn, the band of the crown mainly worn through in the middle. There is little detail to the robe. On the reverse, the pearls in the arches of the crown are blurred and the central arch is often worn through. The leaves of the wreath show little detail. On convex reverses the N of CENTS may be worn through. Ream beads are present however blurred.
Remember, ICCS grades generally the obverse so the reverse plays little impact. Thanks Owen, I appreciate the compliment. I am sure there is a few. I only know of a few others our age...
