She sure is purdy, I love the toned '63s but have only ever found 3, yours assuming that white streak under the date is nothing would be a Strong ms-63.

I highly doubt it, the coin has a slight cameo but the marks such as the one below the queen would be on circulation strikes and never on PL coins since that mark is from another coins edge.

The dollar is a business strike. Back then coins came in rolls where the ends of the rolls were open. This subjected one side of the coin at the end of the roll to toning. This dollar is a "end of the roll" dollar. I use to collect these end of the roll coins as I found them unique. Here's a "end of the roll" Quarter.

I would say a nice unc. mint state coin and probably nicer than the photo portrays. As far as being an end of roll toner,no way.End of roll toners will be toned on one side only and the other side brilliant.I have only come across a few that I knew for sure were end of roll toners. They were from a few rolls of 1958 silver dollars that I purchased from Ingrid Smith over thirty years ago.The end coins were beautifully toned from coming in contact with the sulfur laden wrapper.

Everyone of these coins came from rolls that I personally had purchased over the years. I collected them years ago just because there unique. Lots of collectors don't like toned coins, but I personally kinda like them. @ Everest..Maybe some "end of the roll" coins tone nicer than others. Here's a "end of the roll" Dime.

Wireman: I agree with you concerning toned coins.I collect attractively toned coins for the series that interest me.I see them as works of art. But end roll toners will be toned on one side only and brilliant on the other.
