Greetings all,

Got the following large pure silver medallion. Tied google to get more details without any luck. Hope someone here can provide more info other than what is printed on the medallion. Value and mintage would be geat info to receive.

Weight is 49.4 grams; diameter is 50 mm.

It seems to be in German, MEZ means Central European Time (Mitteleuropäische Zeit), and Sojus would be the German spelling. Hope this gives you some leads...

Should be confirmed that this medal is all silver.

It could, for instance, be silver plated copper nickel.
Quite often these sorts of medals were made in several different alloys and sizes to be marketed to suit the affordability of a prospective buyer.

think it is solid silver sel, is that not a 9999 below the neck of the bottom right astronaut

I have an Apollo-Soyuz silver medal issued in Canada, 22 grams 999 silver. Actually it is only for the Soyuz, but I suppose it must have been one of a pair.
These type things are rarely worth much more than metal value.
