This is one of the coins from an inherited collection. How would you grade it?

I'm still deciding which coins I'm keeping and which I'm selling. But would this one be worth sending to a TPG for the purposes of selling? Thanks.

xf-45. You will likely get more for it in a TPG holder than raw.

I'd go AU50 and only certify it if you can't find a buyer at $250 raw. I'd maybe take $225 cash if it were mine and I was selling it raw but no less. If it grades problem-free AU50 at a major TPG you'd have a pretty easy $275 sale but minus $50 grading fees you're back at $225.

I'm at EF-45. Way too much field chatter for AU.

Probably AU detail but I'm seeing a lot of hairlines. Not worth slabbing IMO and I wouldn't select it for a personal collection. Better to sell and put the proceeds towards a nicer example if you want this type of piece in your set.

Jaobler is right...the base metal value for 1/8 ounce is $150
You can find a nicer example for $350ish...good luck!
