1883-O VAM-36A "phantom E" Help

ilikeikes Pillar of the Community United States 1205 Posts	Posted 02/15/2015 12:12 pm Going to my yearly Redwood Empire Coin Club Coin Show yesterday, walking in the fairgrounds, a guy with a briefacse was near me, and, I decided to start a conversation with.."you have coins for sale in there"..an hour later I had 3 coins 1883-O NGC MS65 Toner 1886-P NGC MS66 light toner, with clashes 1936 Norfolk NGC 50c MS68 Toned Monster CAC sticker I bought the Morgans due to visible die cracks and clash areas, figured I'd get home and do some research on Vamworld...will start with the basic shots, then, and my closeups as I go. ilikeikes Pillar of the Community United States 1205 Posts	Posted 02/15/2015 1:23 pm Been at this for hours..I believe this coin, with the die states I see, may be the final stage known as "Phantom E"..I have a lot of pics, but, will post what seems to be crucial. Feel free to ask for a certain area, if you want it..I have shots of everything. These pics show the clashing under eagle's neckline, and, the accompanying scratches in Liberty's hair. The "Clashed E" is there, in outline form, but, not as raised metal. Report this Post to the Staff
