Mistakes do happen. Especially for higher volume sellers. It is very tough to keep tabs on hundreds of listings and the physical inventory/space they take up in storage. Lots of room for mistakes with photos, descriptions, locations of the items that are for sale, etc.

Could not agree more with pennyman, smallcent, pacific, denco and poker...

Mistakes do happen. Does not sound malicious at all.

Almost anything you want as far as a coin will come along plenty of times...

After thinking this over I've come to the conclusion that I'll just minimize what I buy on the Bay and go to actual stores when I want to buy something unique. If I see a specific coin in future on the bay I'll contact the seller to find out if There's a mistake before I bid. It's ironic that this would happen after stalking ebay for months to find this error and then not get it and perhaps it adds to my bitterness. irregardless of reason ebay should have a block seller/buyer button. That way people can minimize dealings they wish to avoid. I don't sell and to be honest I don't know how listings go. You would think that if you had a roll of the same coin you would post a stock photo clearly stating such on the description but I digress. I've resolved to let it go and be diligent in future. Are there any other members that do not sell at all and only buy on ebay?

"It is a pain when the buyer looks at the listing and buys puts the seller through the trouble of sending an item to be looked over by the buyer and then sent back.

Vanislkid-
Aren't we being a little hypocritical here?
Wasn't it just last week when you posted a thread about returning a coin you did not want after looking at it?

There is nothing wrong in returning any item to the seller if it is not what you ordered or change your mind after seeing the item. This applies to any item sold online for you are just buying from a picture and description without seeing the actual item.
It is part of doing business online.
If a seller posts a no return policy, I simply don't buy from them.

Fixguy-
I'm sure there are many members including myself who only buy on ebay but don't sell. For me it seems like too much of a hassle for the small quantity that I sell. I use other outlets
when I want to get rid of some of my coins.

I have bought up more than a thousand close to 2 thousand coin off of the ebays seller guys during 10 years time now and have hardly never had the problems anytime.

I learn at the beginning theres lots of fish out there in that ocean and only to buy from the good seller who has the longtime reputation and integrty from the comments of his customers.

And only buy from the guy who give lots of good picture and if not ask for one no?

And really important is to NEVER BUY FROM A GUY WHO HE DOES NOT BACK UP HIS SELLINGS WITH THE RETURNS ALLOWED!

And always remember the old added what was once said by a smart cookie guy that "if the thing it sounds like it is more too good than to be the trued - then probably its not " eh? :)
