With a mintage of about 100-150 is this 1934-35 Proof Centenary Florin. So far only 8 have been graded by PCGS  |

Hopefully it will be alright if I bump this thread. Apparently this coin is PL and not meant for circulation, though it certainly does not look like either. In its condition, I doubt it is worth more than the dollar I paid, but I still really like it. It has a mintage of 4,752. Great Britain 2 pence, 1831. It is also my smallest coin at 13.44 millimeters. |

Who would do that to a Maundy twopence?  At any rate, nice pick up for a dollar! Some of my lowest mintage coins: Circulation: British Honduras 50c 1901; 10,000 NIFC: 1874 Maundy penny: 8,741 Kind of a coin: Hutt River Province 50 cents 1976; 5,000 Token: Trade dollar from a Mormon temple dedication extravaganza: 550 Survival rate: Several ancients with estimated survival numbers well below 100. this is the lowest one that comes to mind right now..the 1888 Newfoundland $2 gold coin was the last year of production for these coins and have the highest mintage of the series at 25,000 coins struck. the 1882 H had the same mintage but all other years were lower..the lowest was 1880 at 2,500 while other years were as high as 10,000. these coins were struck from 1865-1888 yet there are only 8 dates to collect in this series. Here is my newest lowest mintage! 1887 Proof Morgan dollar710 mintage, estimated survival of 290!    Also, some eye candy! This is an 1896-P in a PCGS MS65 holder! A friend of mine took the pictures of this coin.   |

Most of my coins are business strikes for circulation, so they tend to be higher mintage. But a little digging produced this one. Large at 37.2 mm dia. Small in mintage: 3,000 Sweden, 4 Skilling 1849  |

But I'll have to disappoint you - back when I got mine, I made a Numista thread about it, and best I can figure out, it is possible that the Numista mintage figures are incorrect (note in particular that NGC has very different mintages); sorry. Very beautiful large copper either way. |

Thanks for the clarification January; I always ck NGC 1st since compared to other TPGs they grade 'virtually' all older coins to my standards... Chute, your coin is still a cool coin and one I'd proudly display. |
