Hi Everyone Planchet errors are common but has anyone out there seen a pure copper stripe running through the face of the coin. I've seen several where the edge or the complete side is missing but not through the middle.

I think they consider that 'Lamenation' error. What a nice one!

That is a nice one, and is worth a premium value for sure. You'd have to contact someone who specializes in errors for a good idea of current market value. I would recommend Fred Weinberg at fred@fredweinberg.com

Thank you for welcoming me to your discussion and allowing me to share this coin with everyone. I've searched hundreds of images for coins with this type of error (where it is actually a stripe through the middle of the coin) but I can't find anything. I'm new to the coin collecting so any suggestions are helpful. I'll email Fred and I'll let everyone know what he says.

Thanks
Grant
