Can anyone tell me about this coin? It was very dirty and I started cleaning it with acetone and a touthpick. I noticed the date is un readable.

have you checked at the very base of the bust? that's the most common DC spot.

is it bent at all? it looks to have been used at a machine shop. sometimes you cant have chuck marks on the piece and set it up so a clamp spins it. a cent is used under the screw part as to not mark up the piece.

it might also just have a flattened spot on the obverse if it was used the way I think it was
