Hi

I'm new to coin but I've been collecting paper money for a few years. I ran across this 1887 gold $1 coin from a friend and could not find a lot of information about it on the web. The coin is not grade but in very fine condition. What is it and how much is it worth?

Thank you.

James.

Here's some info: http://www.coincommunity.com/us_gol...princess.asp

No way to venture a value without an image but these have about $60 in gold in them and always sell for well over $100 unless severely damaged.

$1 Gold is the most oft counterfeited coin. You will need to post pictures here or bring the coin to a respected numismatist to very its authenticity/value.
