No offense meant, but do you have to start a new thread every time you have an opinion on PMs. It clutters up the Precious Metals forum and makes searching for information unnecessarily cumbersome. Yup already has an on going blog on PM opinions, granted it is not your blog, but can't we keep the discussions in one thread ? Again, in the interest of keeping the forum streamlined, no offense to you or your knowledgeable opinions.

There are already threads on finds and yet some feel they have to have a separate thread to showcase their finds... I enjoy reading their finds and appreciate their enthusiasm but it is not necessary to start thread about it every time you find something... I'm not a moderator, otherwise, I would do some thread cleaning...

Yup has a great long on going thread that doesn't say much to me that I don't already know. Only 3 things can happen in PM. It goes up/down or sideways. I spend maybe 10 min a week looking at the price action to determine if I'm a buyer. It's been more than a few years since I bought silver but the day is getting closer that I may dip into it once again. It's nice to see new & different thoughts about PM other than charts & graphs & long explanations explaining them. I don't say much in the PM forum but I do like to read them. Looks like he has started 7 topics in 2 months, has he reached the limit? No intent to anger or offend anyone.

I have really enjoyed reading Leon's new threads and agree that some of the others have become repetitive.
Please don't stop Leon, or at least create your own "future prices of silver" thread to build off of.

The reason I started this new thread, is simply to remind stackers what commercials have been doing in this market. The title of the thread says it all.
Whenever you see a special pricing, you need to be vigilant. To be honest, I think the right time to buy, actually is when dealers start to increase premium. It is intriguing indeed . . .

i remember seeing that last year when silver went up to 21 bucks premiums were ridiculous. I for one will take advantage of this drop once the dust clears.

wow, gold spot is hammered again, @1199
I am aiming for 1130; silver might be around 15 then.

The last time silver dropped to $15, I didn't notice any changes in premiums. However, years ago weren't premiums pretty high when silver was below $10?

MontanaCMR,
Last year when silver was around $15, I noticed many dealers increasing premium for junk and generic rounds. At the time, commercial traders' short position was relatively low. My thought was, they closed their hedge/short position; however, spot kept dropping; so they had to do something to protect from further loss -- such as increasing premiums.

I remember as a boy in the late 90's that Morgan dollars were $8 in the junk box plus spot. So like $15 at my lcs.

@Bertensgrad
If spot falls through $12 in the coming months, that $15 Morgan might show up again.
Just a thought.

Leon have you ever thought about being in something less stressful to you than the PM game? like being a solder of fortune in the Syrian civil war?

Leon,
Do you believe that the physical market is the driving force for the paper market? Most 'experts' that believe the PM markets are manipulated (which markets aren't these days), believe the paper market drives the physical price.
