Got these sub $20, look a bit scrappy, but I think there is good coin underneath.
Would they benefit an acetone wash or baking soda? I've only done acetone once with some yucky tape but came out well.
I have practised baking soda on mostley valueless coins.. with good results... but not Peace..

Thoughts....?

From quck check of VAMworld, Diecclash Rev.5. :
Quote:
'Rev 5
This area is associated with most clashed VAM designations. It is the back of Liberty's neck showing as a vertical line above Eagle's right shoulder. The line may be short, or extend up and into the UN of UNUM.'

Cool! Thanks for finding.. I will post there for confirmation..

Comparing acetone and baking soda is rather like comparing your housecat to a hungry tiger. One is a benign organic solvent chemically incapable of damaging metal, the other a harsh cleaning agent which ruins every coin it's used on.

your coins aren't dirty so acetone isn't really necessary but if you want to enhance the color you can use a coin dip. it isn't really suggested but I would use it on at least the bottom left one. it will make the coins look whiter and more pleasing to the eye but you must be careful, know what you're doing and I would suggest using it on some common unc silvers as practice first.

NO! NEVER TREAT DIPPING THIS CASUALLY. Throwing acid at a coin is as deadly as throwing it at a human.

Throwing a coin at a human is usually not deadly.
