For 80, I think that you overpaid a little. I just bought a really nice crusty 1819 in VF for 85 without the graffiti, which will generally lower the value of a coin. I'd attribute it for you now, but I'm feeling a little lazy and tired after a greuling week of school.

Your coin is talking to you! It's saying "Hi". I like the look of it. I wonder who carved "hi" and when they did it.

Maybe, but both of them have bottoms so it looks (to me) like an uppercase I

I believe it is a T instead of a I also because the lines going downward on the top of the "T" and the bottom line doesn't have that so thats why I believe its a T

personally, I liked the tone of the obverse, kinda looks like its been in a fire or something, in turn that makes me wonder where its been, alot of pockets I imagine. Yea bonedigger, I think the "initials" give it a little character and makes me wonder even more. honestly...i'da paid more for it. I bid more for it. Yea, I think I'll like it...when I get it. Thanks all!.

That's unfortunate. As long as you like it who cares what you paid for it.
We all overpay most of the time and rarely underpay.
It's just how the game is played.
